(DODGE CITY, Kan.)— The city of Dodge City is offering a new sewer line warranty program to homeowners. The warranty program is provided through the National League of Cities and administered by Service Line Warranties of America. The optional program lets residents pay $5.95 per month to help cover $4,000 in sewer line repairs and $4,000 of public street cutting due to sewer line breaks.

Dodge City’s city manager Ken Strobel says many homeowners are not aware that they may be required to cover the cost of sewer line problems on their property. He says the cost is often unexpected and large. The program is offered to Dodge City at no cost and no public funds are used to promote
the program. To learn more call the city of Dodge City at (620)225-8100 or visit the SLWA website.
