Delaware Partnerships

The state of Delaware has a rich history dating from 1631, and it continues to grow and thrive with culture, entertainment, tourism, and industry of all kinds. It is truly a vibrant place. But Delaware shares one thing with every other state… aging infrastructure that can lead to unforeseen damages to service lines for residents. That’s why so many communities throughout the state could benefit from a partnership with the HomeServe to help their residents in their times of need.

Most homeowners don’t realize they are responsible for the water and sewer lines from the street to their meter, and are shocked to find they must pay to repair damage caused by age, tree roots, and other issues. Planning ahead and having a warranty program in place to cover these costs can make all the difference when an unexpected emergency occurs.

Since 2020, Delaware residents have over 21,000 water-related HomeServe policies, and have saved $1.8 million dollars.

Partnerships can lead to more policies, and millions more in savings for your residents. In fact, we already have partners in your neighboring states:

  • In New Jersey, we have 13 existing municipal and water utility partners, over 160,000 active water-related protection plans, and we saved the state over $13 million since 2017.
  • In Pennsylvania, we’re partnered with the Pennsylvania Municipal League (PML), have 37 municipal and water utility partners, over 200,000 protection plans, and have saved the state $16 million since 2017.
  • In Maryland, we’re partnered with the Maryland Municipal League (MML), have 20 municipal and water utility partners, over 200,000 protection plans, and have saved the state $18 million since 2017.

Nationally, we have saved customers over $1.1 billion over the past three years.

We are also partnered with Delaware Rural Water Association.

The National League of Cities (NLC) Service Line Warranty Program benefits cities and residents. But don’t take our word for it – read what they have to say.

The NLC Service Line Warranty Program was conceived in partnership with the NLC to educate property owners about their service line responsibilities and protect them against a potentially significant out-of-pocket repair expense. The Program also offers numerous benefits to our municipality partners.

Partner Testimonials

“Upon moving in to our 100 year old home, we had a sewer backup the basement.  Called the 800 number and within a minute or two my plumber was added to the list.  Repairs were done the same day and we were completed covered!   Was always a believer in the program as a municipal partner, but as an end user, I was completely impressed with the professionalism and solid customer service support.  The HomeServe program is a winner!”  – John Brenner, Deputy Executive Director, Pennsylvania Municipal League

Customer Testimonials

  • I always have a great experience with Home Serve. I have used my service on many occasions over the years and have not had one bad experience. My most recent experience was excellent as usual.  – Allen J., Newark, DE
  • Had a good experience from servicemen that came and had good service from Home serve making sure I was taken care of in a timely manner. – Ralph P., Claymont, DE
  • The gentleman found my water leak and was able to fix it without any damage to my kitchen. I was so afraid the leak was from a pipe behind my cabinets but it turned out to be a leaky connection to the Fridge. He attempted to pull the Fridge out but it would have damaged my floor so he reached behind the Fridge over the counter. I was very pleased it was a simple repair. – Patricia H., Wilmington, DE
